Push Notice Setup

Prerequisite: You will first need to set up your Apple Developer Profile.

When you choose the Push Notifications module from within the User Engagement modules, the Android PNs module is automatically configured … meaning you don’t have to do anything at all. As you can see here, the Android PNs module is highlighted with color, which indicates the module is configured. The iOS PNs module is grayed out, indicating it has not been customized.

Setting up iOS Push Notice Module

Currently, the iOS PN module is configured following a few intuitive steps that are clearly defined within the module. When you click to configure the module you will see a screen with 3 Required Profiles and a Finalize Button that will need to be configured:

  • Push Production SSL Certificate,
  • App Adhoc Provisioning Profile
  • App Store Provisioning Profile
  • Finalize (syncs your app with Apple and push servers)

Since you have already set up your Skybuilder Apple Profile, this section will seem familiar to you and you might think you’ve already done this. You haven’t. The three profiles and the finalize must be generated for EACH app you will create.

First, login to your Apple developer account and then….

Click on the Configure Manually button on the right hand side and follow the simple instructions. The blue “manual” button will change to a green “success” button on successful completion of the step.

Do this for the SSL Certificate, each profile and the Finalize button. You do not need to wait until the “Success” button appears to continue.

Once you have configured each step, your module will look like this and you will see the Push Notifications added to your Tool Bar:

As stated, each step is intuitive, however if you have any issues at all, simply login to the Support desk and ask for assistance. We’re happy to help!
