Facebook Posts

There are Three (3) Facebook Modules:  Facebook Posts (this document); Facebook Photos and Facebook Page.  Each of these have different requirements.

Facebook Posts (beta) is the latest of our Facebook Modules. With this module you may pull the actual Facebook posts of a user into your app.

Prerequisites:  A Facebook account and a Facebook Developer account

  • To sign up for a Facebook Account, go to https://facebook.com and join or sign in. You must be logged into your Facebook account in order to become a Facebook Developer
  • To sign up for a Facebook Developer account, go to https://developers.facebook.com and click the Register Link in the right top corner.

Adding an App

Step 1: Login to https://developers.facebook.com and click on My Apps (top right corner in the same place the “register” link existed prior to becoming a developer).

Step 2: In the drop-down menu, select Add a New App. (If you have added other apps, these will be listed here.)

Step 5: Once you give the app a name, scroll down the page that opens and insert your website URL. This is required, however, it can be any website you own — a blog, for example, or a subdomain site.
